On October 15-17, the Fifth SPE Russian Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition

On October 15-17, the Fifth SPE Russian Oil and Gas Conference and Exhibition dedicated to exploration and production took place in All-Russia Exhibition Centre. This event is unique for Russia and is a major scientific, technical, and business venue where such issues as advanced technologies in the area of oil and gas reserves exploration, drilling, and enhanced recovery, as well as integrated approaches to oil, gas, and gas condensate field development and analysis are addressed.

This event is not only an important scientific and technical forum dedicated to oil and gas exploration and production in Russia but also provides an excellent opportunity for establishing new business relations and strengthening the existing ones. This year, TGT Oilfield Services took part both in the technical part of the conference and in the exhibition.

On October 14, the first day of the conference, Dr Arthur Aslanyan (Chief Technology Officer) and Ilnur Shigapov (Business Development Manager for Russia and Caspian Region) made a presentation titled “Identification of behind-casing flowing reservoir intervals by the integrated high-precision temperature and spectral noise logging techniques”. The presentation included some examples of successful identification of water sources in horizontal and vertical wells using high-precision temperature logging and spectral noise logging techniques, and examples of multiphase flow profile determination in horizontal and vertical oil wells. The presentation generated a great interest among the audience. Discussion of the presented results was continued at the TGT exhibition stand.

TGT shared the display area in the SPE exhibition hall with Sofoil and Sonogram. Sofoil presented to the exhibition visitors its advanced technologies in oilfield micro-grid modelling, and hydrodynamic surveys based on the pressure pulse testing technique, as well as various services and proprietary software products. Sonogram, a company that is a resident of the Skolkovo Foundation, showed its latest achievements in the area of spectral noise logging.

More than 10 technical presentations were made on a daily basis, during which TGT software product performance was demonstrated and technical aspects of the products explained.

A particular emphasis at the stand was laid upon presentation of Prime College, TGT Training Centre. Yana Kobelyanskaya (Head of the Prime College) introduced some programs pertaining to technical training, studying professional terminology, the English language, and communications. Several major companies and students and members of higher education establishments, scientific organisations, and journals (such as Gazprom Neft, SIAM-Engineering, DrillScan, Tallinn University, EAGE, Oil&Gas Journal, Drilling&Oil, Ancor, Saint-Petersburg State Polytechnic University, students of Chinese universities, Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas) expressed their interest in co-operation with Prime College.

As a result of three days of the Conference and Exhibition activities, TGT managed to strengthen its existing business links and establish new relationships with such companies as Tyumen Scientific Petroleum Centre, Sakhalin Energy, Rosneftegaz, Independent Oil and Gas Company, Lukoil-Nezhnevolzhskneft, VNIIneft-Western Siberia, RN-Uvatneftegaz, SurgutNIPIneft, Gapromneft-R&D Centre, CCI RF, Gazpromneft-Noyabrskneftegaz, and many others.
